Since the C-6 Educational Foundation was formed in 1999, it has held numerous events to raise funds to support the nonprofit organization’s mission, which is to provide Fox C-6 schools, teachers and students with resources that otherwise would be unavailable.
In its early years, the foundation held an annual fundraising walk-a-thon and encouraged school groups, students and staff members to donate to the cause and take part in the event.
Then, the Fox Trot 5K and 1-mile Fun Run fundraising event was held for several years, with a Family Bike Ride added in 2022, the last time the event was held. The Fox Trot attracted participants from not only the Fox schools community, but also from around the St. Louis area.
The foundation also has supported a breakfast for Fox District retirees over the past few years, and many of the participants have provided generous donations to the foundation.
